AdmissionsAdmission to the school is based on the status of the applicant's parent at The New York - Presbyterian Hospital and it's neighboring institutions, with priority given to the children of medical students, residents and fellows. Tuition is based on a sliding scale for hospital families. Neighborhood children are welcomed on a space-available basis at a set tuition. Enrollment is approximately 90 children aged two and a half to five. Children in the Twos Program must be two years by the end of March for fall admission. They attend for two hours a day, two or three days a week, late September through May. Nursery School children attend five mornings, or five afternoons, mid-September through May. There is also a morning program in the month of June. The William Woodward Jr. Nursery School is a non-profit institution; it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational or admissions policies. Applications are accepted after Labor Day for the following year's admission. Please contact the school at 212-744-6611 for an application packet.
